The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Wednesday was a bleak 78-108-125. The TSX Venture Exchange fell five points to 763 while polished diamond prices fell 0.2 per cent. Toby Mayo's Far Resources Ltd. (FAT) fell 1.5 cents to 33 cents on 1.94 million shares. Far, which is looking for a chief executive officer to replace Keith Anderson, who died a month ago, continues its busy exploration program at the Zoro lithium project in Northern Manitoba. Paul Farquharson's eCobalt Solutions Inc. (ECS) lost five cents to $1.37 on 1.78 million shares. The company is busy with its Idaho cobalt project in east-central Idaho.

Dr. Leon Daniels's Pangolin Diamonds Corp. (PAN), unchanged at six cents on 52,000 shares, has acquired an option to earn up to a 75-per-cent interest in the intriguing AK10 kimberlite in the Orapa district of Botswana from Makanwu Civil Blasting Ltd., a private Botswana-based company. To earn its interest, Pangolin must complete two phases of work. The first, which includes a 12-month exploration program, will give it a 51-per-cent interest. The interests of the joint venturers would stay the same from there if they both contribute to the second phase of work. If not, the partner paying the bills would hold a 75-per-cent interest. The minority partner could then boost its share to 35 per cent by paying a predefined -- but undisclosed -- cost.
