The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Friday was a mediocre 74-60-128. The TSX Venture Exchange gained seven points to 789 while polished diamond prices edged upward. Grenville Thomas and Ken Armstrong's North Arrow Minerals Inc. (NAR) managed a 2.5-cent gain, closing at 26 cents on 26,000 shares. The company, one of Canada's most active diamond explorers, is getting set for another busy year on its Naujaat project in central Nunavut.

David Hodge's reluctant diamond explorer, Zimtu Capital Corp. (ZC), closed unchanged at 28 cents on 4,000 shares. The company has completed a small program on its Munn Lake project in the South Slave district of the Northwest Territories. In June, Mr. Hodge, president and chief executive officer, said that Zimtu had started work on the property, roughly 40 kilometres northwest of the Gahcho Kue mine and a similar distance east-northeast of the now shuttered Snap Lake mine. Mr. Hodge has said nothing since then, but the company did about $28,000 of exploration this year.
