The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Wednesday was a mediocre 64-74-119. The TSX Venture Exchange fell fractionally to 807 while polished diamond prices rose 0.2 per cent. Chuck Fipke's Metalex Ventures Ltd. (MTX) gained one-half cent to seven cents on 1.42 million shares. The company has said nothing in months about its stalled diamond hunts. Mark Ireton's Noram Ventures Inc. (NRM) lost one-half cent to three cents on 3.77 million shares. The company has been silent for the past few months about its lithium hunt in Nevada.

Michiel de Wit and James Bruchs's Tsodilo Resources Ltd. (TSD), unchanged at 85 cents on 2,000 shares, has completed 11 of 14 planned core holes at its BK-16 kimberlite in Botswana. The company began work in February and expects to finish the last three holes by the end of the month. The drilling, which is probing BK-16 ahead of bulk sampling with much larger equipment, is laid out on a 50-metre grid across the 5.9-hectare pipe.
