The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Tuesday was a weak 52-70-141. The TSX Venture Exchange fell eight points to 767 while polished diamond prices held steady. George Read and Ken MacNeill's Shore Gold Inc. lost one cent to 20 cents on 410,000 shares. Daily volumes over the past two months have been at their highest in nearly a year but the stock sticks like glue to the 20-cent mark as investors await progress at its big Saskatchewan diamond project.

Nicholas Houghton's True North Gems Inc. (TGX) closed unchanged at one-half cent on 837,000 shares. The company got bad news last week when the Greenland government awarded the licence for the Aappaluttoq ruby and sapphire mine on western Greenland to a "new" company, LNS Greenland Gems AS (LNSGG). The licence had been held by True North Gems Greenland (TNGG) AS, a subsidiary in which Mr. Houghton's Canadian-listed True North Gems held a 76-per-cent interest at last report. True North acquired the Aappaluttoq project in 2004 and over the next 12 years it invested nearly $40-million, getting the project through the exploration and permitting phases and to the brink of production.

Mr. Purcell, thank you for your effort to provide a more complete description of the situation with TGX. Not knowing what the mine went for and what TGX bid, it does seem a bit neat and tidy on the LNS/Greenland side of the ledger. The mine has an excellent PEA from what I have read. So it is curious that Mr. Houghton and Endeavour Financial appear so flaccid in their "efforts" to secure financing. The parenthesis around "efforts" are there because the only disclosure regarding said financial "efforts" pretty much amounts to gee whiz we tried real hard. Regardless, I appreciate what you have written here today, and undoubtably other TGX shareholders do also.

As I've said before, good luck. (Alas, you'll need it.)

I'm going to keep looking at this one, as there's a lot that I find, umm, perplexing.

Cheers,

Will
