The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Tuesday was a ho-hum 52-56-153. The TSX Venture Exchange fell two points to 991 while diamond prices gained 0.2 per cent. Randy Turner's Canterra Minerals Ltd. (CTM) fell 2.5 cents to 10 cents on 268,000 shares. Canterra recently raised $2-million for exploration at its new diamond projects south and east of Snap Lake in the Northwest Territories -- largely thanks to Vancouver billionaire Jim Pattison, who bought over half the shares. Work should start this summer with surface sampling and perhaps geophysics. Paul Jones's Nuinsco Resources Inc. (NWI) traded actively, closing unchanged at 1.5 cents on 5.23 million shares. The company has been quiet since its annual meeting in June. The last news from its Prairie Lake rare earth prospect north of Marathon in Ontario came in the spring, when regulators forced Mr. Jones to retract much of his spiel about the play. The project has up to 600 million tonnes of rock deemed a target for further exploration, based on its modest niobium and phosphorous content.
