WIND RIVER ANNOUNCES NEW INVESTOR RELATIONS CONSULTANT

Wind River Energy Corp. has engaged Derek Huston, of North Vancouver, B.C., to provide investor relations services to the company for a term of 12 months. Pursuant to a service agreement dated Oct. 13, 2011, Mr. Huston will provide the company with investor relations services, including investor communications through telephone, e-mail and personal contact, respond to all investor inquiries in a timely manner, in consultation with senior management, disseminate company news and information, disseminate information to investors and potential investors through the necessary mediums, create and implement an investor relations program that provides investors and interested parties with the company information they seek, provide media and advertising services where and when necessary, and maintain strong communications with the company's senior manager on a daily basis or as necessary, in exchange for a monthly fee of $3,000 plus HST and the grant of 100,000 incentive stock options at an exercise price of 35 cents per share, one-fourth vesting every three months, starting at the end of the first fiscal quarter, such options as previously announced in the company's news release of Oct. 3, 2011, subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
