Mr. Douglas Mason reports
RAINY MOUNTAIN APPOINTS VP, EXPLORATION
Rainy Mountain Royalty Corp. has appointed Robert Middleton, PEng, as the company's vice-president, exploration.
Mr. Middleton's contributions to developing Ontario's mineral wealth are not insignificant. In 1979, he led the Rosario Resources team that discovered the Bell Creek mine in Timmins, Ont., and, in 1982, he played a role in drilling the discovery hole at the Goliath mine in Hemlo, Ont. He is also credited with discovering the Cross Lake zinc deposit near Timmins, Ont., in 1997 and conducted exploration in the Nipigon plate that led to the discovery of the Seagull PGE (platinum group elements) deposits.
"Mr. Middleton has acted as Rainy Mountain's QP [qualified person] since October, 2014, and has previously acted for the company in many important roles. Mr. Middleton has had many significant achievements over his 40-plus years in the mineral exploration industry. He has gained a wealth of knowledge from his impressive past, and we look forward to continuing with him as we move forward with the development of our Ontario property interests," said Douglas Mason, chief executive officer and president, Rainy Mountain Royalty Corp.
