Brien Lundin, in the February, 2015, edition of the Gold Newsletter, refreshes his buy of Romarco Minerals Inc., recently 57 cents. Mr. Lundin said buy in January, 2015, at 56 cents. Assuming a $1,000 investment for the buy, the position is now worth $1,017. Romarco has settled with the Sierra Club over a disputed state operating permit for its Haile project in South Carolina. Under the settlement, Romarco will increase the financial assurance for Haile's reclamation by $5-million (U.S.) to $65-million (U.S.). With that promise, the Sierra Club agreed to drop its claim. Separately, the company has arranged a $300.03-million bought deal of 517.3 million shares at 58 cents, and will use the proceeds to develop Haile. Although heavily dilutive says Mr. Lundin, the fact that BMO Capital Markets and Cormack Securities are willing to underwrite the deal speaks volumes about Romarco's long-term prospects. The company has planned a new round of drilling for Haile now that the permit is secure. As well, the editor notes that 70,000 metres of drill results have yet to be included in the project's resource estimate. "The door is now wide open" for Haile to advance toward production, says Mr. Lundin. The stock is a buy.
