Stockhouse Publishing Ltd., owner of the Stockhouse website, has filed a pair of lawsuits in the Supreme Court of British Columbia seeking to collect $145,393 in unpaid advertising bills. It says that QSolar Ltd. of Calgary owes it $101,125 and Trueclaim Exploration Inc. of Vancouver owes it $44,270.
The suits are contained in two brief, nearly identical notices of claim that Stockhouse filed at the Vancouver courthouse on Friday, Feb. 10, with one naming QSolar and the other naming Trueclaim. According to the suits, Stockhouse provided advertising programs to the companies that would "increase the Defendant's exposure to accredited retail investors, brokers, analysts and newsletter writers." Terms of the advertising agreements called for the companies to pay their bills within 30 days, with service to be suspended after 45 days of non-payment.
