In the private sector, Mr. Nuttall worked in the financial services industry in Barrie from 2009 to 2015, in both the bank and credit union space.

On Oct. 19, 2015, Mr. Nuttall was elected to represent Barrie-Springwater-Oro-Medonte in the House of Commons as its Member of Parliament.
