KAMINAK APPOINTS RICHARD WILLIAMS TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Pursuant to the terms of the financing announced on Sept. 28, 2015, Kaminak Gold Corp. shareholder Electrum Strategic Opportunities Fund LP has elected to exercise its right to nominate one person to the company's board of directors, and in doing so, the Kaminak board has approved and appointed Richard Williams to the board of directors effective immediately.
Mr. Williams brings a wealth of global mining experience gained over his 30-plus-year career in the mining industry and currently serves as the vice-president, engineering and development, of NovaGold Resources Inc., where he is responsible for all aspects related to the engineering and technical advancement of the company's flagship Donlin gold project in Alaska and Galore Creek project in B.C. Prior to joining NovaGold, Mr. Williams held numerous positions with Barrick Gold Corp. beginning in the late 1980s and was most recently Barrick's project director, Pueblo Viejo project, Dominican Republic. Mr. Williams has a BSc (chemical engineering) from Trinity University, San Antonio, Tex., and is a member of AIME, SME and CIM. He is also the co-inventor of three U.S. patents associated with pressure oxidation technology.
