GOLDEN TAG APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR

Golden Tag Resources Ltd. has appointed Jamie Levy as a director of the company. Mr. Levy brings 20 years of financial market experience, having worked with Taurus Capital and Byron Securities, culminating as vice-president, trading, and head trader with Pinetree Capital Inc., responsible for Pinetree's investment portfolio. Mr. Levy holds a BA in economics from Concordia University.

Pursuant to this appointment, the company has granted 250,000 incentive options for a period of five years exercisable at a price of 22 cents, which is an approximate 19-per-cent discount to the company's closing price of 27 cents on July 4, 2012. The options are subject to regulatory approval and a vesting schedule whereby one-third of the options will vest every six months over an 18-month period after the date of the grant.
