EasyMed releases Int'l Medical Passport software

2012-02-09 09:35 ET - News Release

Mr. Andrew Ritchie reports

EASYMED'S CEO UPDATE

EasyMed Services Inc. has successfully completed the following milestones. The chief executive officer, Andrew Ritchie, is updating shareholders on the great progress that has been achieved in the following areas:

  1. Development and introduction of the new International Medical Passport software: The company achieved its target of launching this software on Feb. 1, 2012. It has signed a joint venture with Travelsante (France) to offer personal medical records on-line and via the customer's mobile phone/PDA. As part of this package the company also offers local country health information and drug equivalents. Travelsante provides vital travel health information to many CAC-40 corporate clients, which include companies such as Dow Chemical, Eurocopter and Ernst&Young (France). The new joint product will be deployed in three international corporations within the coming weeks. The company believes that it offers the most complete personal medical software package for international travellers available on the market.
  2. Upgrade completion of the Easy SmartCare software (version 6.1): This deadline was also achieved by Feb. 1, 2012, to deploy the company's software for testing in one of Geneva's biggest radiology clinics (IIM clinic). The company has integrated its system with the clinic's management system provided by Medspazio (WDS Technologies SA). The software will automatically allow the clinic to communicate with its patients via the Internet/mobile phones/PDAs or via SMS messaging allowing the facility to confirm attendance, send out previsit questionnaires and preparation requirements, transfer patients' medical files, and provide patients with medication reminders and follow-up questionnaires resulting in end-to-end improved patient care. It is the company's intention to then deploy its new joint product to Medspazio's existing 80-plus clinic/hospital customers throughout Switzerland.
  3. United Arab Emirates national diabetes program: EasyMed is supplying its Disease Management software for the UAE's national program. The company has entered into an agreement with Modern Pharmaceutical Company (MPC) to be the technology provider for this pioneering national program by the UAE health ministry. It is the aim of the project to improve the lives of over 300,000 citizens who suffer from diabetes.
  4. IBM certification: EasyMed has successfully been certified as an IBM partner on IBM Systems and IBM Database software. This insures that the company's software and technical management and processes meet some of the highest standards in the world, and that its software can easily be connected with other health care information system providers. The company is presently working with IBM to complete its Healthcare Integration Framework (HIF) certification, IBM's highest product certification.
  5. Security system upgrade: With the company's commitment to meeting the highest database security levels in the world, it has migrated over to new services at Grita data facility (France). It meets HIPAA, FDA, and French and Swiss health ministry requirements for medical records protection, and HL-7 for data exchange. The company believes that the safety of its clients' personal files is fundamental to the company's success. It is therefore its intention to always exceed regulatory standards and be on the leading edge of achieving the highest standards possible.
  6. Biosign agreement: The company has successfully signed an agreement with Biosign Technologies Inc. to jointly distribute each other's products and develop new products together that take advantage of each company's specialty areas. Biosign produces patented medical devices for various health measurements. It is the company's intention to develop new joint products that attach these devices to patients' mobile phones through EasyMed technology allowing remote monitoring and tracking by the patients' caregivers.
  7. Sales and marketing developments: EasyMed has recently strengthened its sales team in Europe and upgraded its sales literature. It believes that this area has been a weakness for the company in the past, and it will continue to focus on this area by further strengthening its sales teams and entering into joint ventures with companies that complement it in this area.

"I think that it is essential that major corporate milestones are brought to the attention of our valued shareholders. We hope that this synopsis will validate our message that we are going full throttle into commercialization. Our technology has been corroborated as a market leader, and we expect our marketing to produce major results in the first two quarters of this year."

We seek Safe Harbor.
