EXTENDICARE REIT ANNOUNCES 2011 FOURTH QUARTER AND YEAR END FINANCIAL RESULTS NEWS RELEASE AND CONFERENCE CALL INFORMATION

Extendicare Real Estate Investment Trust will hold a conference call and live audio webcast on Thursday, March 1, 2012, at 10 a.m. (ET) to discuss financial results for the fourth quarter and year ended Dec. 31, 2011.

Following the issuance of the news release on Feb. 29, 2012, Extendicare will post a copy, along with an update of the supplemental information package, on its website, under the investors/financial reports section.
