Mr. Michael McPhie reports
CURIS RESOURCES LTD. TO LIST ON THE TORONTO STOCK EXCHANGE
Curis Resources Ltd. has received conditional approval to list the company's common
shares on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
Commented president and chief executive officer Michael McPhie: "The management and directors
of Curis are pleased to have advanced Curis toward a listing on the
Toronto Stock Exchange. This will increase the exposure of the company
to a broader investment market and provide greater awareness and
recognition of our flagship Florence copper project.
"We are well positioned to achieve our corporate goals of establishing
the company and the Florence copper project as a near-term
next-generation copper producer," confirmed Mr. McPhie. "Following
completion of a feasibility study and project permitting, anticipated
in fourth quarter of this year, we are planning to drill and activate an initial
in-situ copper recovery (ISCR) well-block and construct and commission
a pilot scale SX-EW plant to produce 99.999 per cent pure copper cathode at the
Florence copper project site. We initiated the formal process to amend
and update the existing operational permits for Florence earlier this
year. The review and consideration of the amendment applications
submitted by the company to the Arizona Department of Environmental
Quality (ADEQ) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are now
moving forward as anticipated.
"The Florence copper project represents a unique high-value opportunity
to bring on-line what is anticipated, based on the results of our 2010
preliminary economic assessment (see news in Stockwatch on Nov. 25,
2010), to be one of the lowest cost pure copper producers in a stable
jurisdiction in the world at a time when copper markets continue to
strengthen," said Mr. McPhie. "Curis has achieved many important
milestones since becoming a public company in late 2010. The
advancement of the company to a listing on the TSX represents another
key step in the building and development of Curis into well recognized
near-term copper producer."
