COM DEV WINS COMMERCIAL CONTRACT

Com Dev International Ltd. has been contracted to deliver hardware for a commercial satellite providing satellite TV and communications coverage over the Americas. Com Dev will provide Ku-band passive microwave equipment for a total contract value exceeding $5-million (U.S.). Work on the contract will be carried out at the company's facility in Cambridge, Ont., with completion expected by March, 2013.

"This contract is an example of a long-standing customer placing an order that includes certain equipment they hadn't bought from us in the past, based on the excellent performance we can offer," said Mike Williams, president of Com Dev International Products. "This is one of the ways we are working to grow our market share in commercial communications satellite equipment where we already have a strong position."
