Mr. Frank Callaghan reports

BARKERVILLE ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF ADVISORS

Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd. has appointed Henry Ewanchuk, William Fisher, Robert Rose and Ian Gordon as advisers to the company. The company believes that each of the appointees has particular experience that will complement its management team and bring additional technical and operational experience to assist the company in the development of its properties.

Henry Ewanchuk

Mr. Ewanchuk completed his bachelor of science at the University of British Columbia in May, 1961, with an honours degree in geology. Since 1980, Mr. Ewanchuk has been the chief executive officer and president of several mining and mineral exploration companies, including Mascot Gold Mines Ltd., Bethlehem Resources Corp. and, most recently, Cross Lake Minerals Ltd. Mr. Ewanchuk was also responsible for the development of the Mount Polley mine for Imperial Metals and currently serves on the advisory board of Columbia Yukon Explorations Inc., a TSX Venture Exchange-listed company.

William Fisher, PGeo

Mr. Fisher graduated in the Unikted Kingdom as a geologist in 1979 and has extensive industry experience, which has included a number of residential posts in Africa, Australia, Europe and Canada in both exploration and mining positions. Under his leadership from 1995 to 1997, Karmin Exploration discovered the Aripuana base metal massive-sulphide deposits in Brazil, now in joint venture with the Brazilian major, Votorantim. From 1997 to 2001 Mr. Fisher was vice-president, exploration, for Boliden AB, a major European mining and smelting company, where he was responsible for 35 projects in nine countries. From 2001 to 2008 Mr. Fisher led GlobeStar Mining Corp. from a pure exploration company through feasibility, permitting, project financing and construction of the Cerro de Maimon copper-gold mine in the Dominican Republic. GlobeStar was sold to Perilya in 2011 for $180-million. Mr. Fisher was also chairman of Aurelian Resources, which was acquired by Kinross in 2008 for $1.2-billion after the discovery of the Fruta del Norte gold deposit in Ecuador. Mr. Fisher currently serves as chairman of the board of Goldquest Mining and as independent director of PC Gold, Horizonte Minerals and Treasury Metals, and of the private company Andiamo Explorati.

Robert Rose

Mr. Rose is a partner with D&D Securities Inc., a full-service investment firm specializing in investment banking, wealth management, and institutional sales and trading. Mr. Rose has been in the financing industry for 44 years and started his career as a floor trader. His primary focus has become financing junior mining and oil and gas companies.

Ian Gordon

Mr. Gordon was educated in England. He graduated from the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, and was commissioned into the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles). He resigned his commission in 1967 and immigrated to Canada that year. He joined the securities industry in 1983, began writing the Long Wave Analyst in 1998 and then began financing junior precious metals companies in 1999. He was one of the leading Canadian financiers in this sector until he left the investments industry at the end of 2008 to focus his attention on future economic and financial events, and to bring junior precious metals companies to the attention of prospective investors.
