Mr.
Robert Card reports
ARROWSTAR STARTS PROGRAM ON ALASKA IRON ORE PROPERTY
Arrowstar Resources Ltd.'s personnel have expedited to Alaska to begin the first exploration phase on the company's Alaska iron-ore project located near Port Snettisham, about 30 miles south east of Juneau, the state capital of Alaska.
The team is composed of senior geologist and vice-president of exploration, Phillip Thomas, along with a technician and a prospector. The team will conduct mapping, hand-held geophysics data collection and sample work over the Snettisham iron-ore prospect, with a view to upgrade the known information to National Instrument (NI) 43-101-compliant data, to aid the company in further exploration and development of the project.
This phase of work is expected to take seven to 10 days and will help pave the way for further exploration, including a proposed drilling program to confirm the grade and quantity of the previously studied magnetite-ore resource situated on the prospect claims. The goal of the team is to take up 1,400 samples of mineralization which can be assayed and analyzed to provide a surface profile of the property and a correlation between the magnetic signal of the magnetite and the contained iron values that will assist in locating drilling locations. Some of the proposed drilling in the next phase will be designed to confirm results of some of the previous 49 holes drilled on the property for grade and structure. The company intends to initiate the drilling phase soon after the sample program and ground-geophysics program have been completed, and the samples analyzed and mapped.
Further drilling, mapping and design work are expected to proceed as exploration is pushed forward into the fall.
