AuRico Gold Inc.'s previously announced offer to buy back up to 36,144,578 of its shares through a Dutch auction will expire at 5 p.m. (Eastern Time) on Jan. 23, 2013, according to the Toronto Stock Exchange. The TSX reports that buyers of the shares can tender them to the offer providing that such purchases are executed on or before Jan. 23, 2013, and providing that, when applicable, the notice of guaranteed delivery is completed and filed with the depositary on or before Jan. 23, 2013. Sellers of the shares must be in a position to deliver such shares in time for the buyer either to tender the shares on or before the deadline, or to meet the three-day delivery deadline on any notice of guaranteed delivery that may have been filed by the buyer.

The TSX reports that all trades in AuRico shares completed on Jan. 22, 2013, will be for regular settlement. All trades completed on Jan. 23, 2013, will be for special two-day settlement on Jan. 25, 2013.
