Mr. Bob Jamieson reports
AEROCAST EXPANDS TO SIGNIFICANTLY LARGER FACILITY
Aerocast Inc., as a result of the company's high growth over the past two years, has relocated its engineering offices to a facility that is 60 per cent larger. The new Mesa, Ariz., facility includes a state-of-the-art quality clinic that will be used to even further reduce any defect rates.
The new quality clinic is a centrally located designated area within the company's engineering offices that is equipped with measuring devices, including statistical tools and trained technical staff, to evaluate process variations and any non-conforming products identified either internally or by Aerocast customers. If a non-conforming product is identified, it is then the responsibility of the quality clinic core team to identify the root cause of the non-conformance through an internal quality clinic process flow chart and, through this process, establish positive corrective or preventative actions to prevent any reoccurrence.
Bob Jamieson, the company's president, stated, "The overall effect of the quality clinic is to ensure that Aerocast's customers will continue to receive high-quality parts, on time, while driving down our costs, which in turn will improve margins."
