The TSX Venture Exchange fell a fraction to 751.29 Tuesday. Roger Daher's first capital pool shell, Skyscape Capital Inc. (SKY: halted), plans to acquire Salida Energy Inc. for the shell's qualifying transaction. The terms are not yet available, but they should arrive around July 30, when the parties aim to sign a definitive agreement.
Salida was formed in Calgary in 2015. It does not yet have any oil and gas assets, but it is hoping to acquire some in Western Canada. It has four directors, who will all be directors of the resulting issuer: Cameron MacDonald, Brian Skinner, Warren Brown and Simon Akit. Mr. MacDonald, the chief executive officer of Salida, will continue as the CEO of the resulting issuer. He is an investor relations man in Calgary. Among his customers in the last 15 years are Touchstone Exploration Inc. (TXP: $0.24), which is an oil producer in Trinidad, and about a dozen other public companies in various industries. Mr. MacDonald is also the chairman of a media investment holding company called i4Media Corp.
