ALLIED NEVADA REPORTS A FATALITY AT ITS HYCROFT MINE

Allied Nevada Gold Corp. reports on the fatality of an employee that occurred today at its Hycroft mine located west of Winnemucca, Nev.

The company is working with local, state and federal authorities, including the U.S. Mine Safety and Health Administration, to investigate the accident. The company has suspended mining operations at this time and will co-operate fully with the investigation.

The company's thoughts and prayers are with the family of the employee.
