HOUSTON -- (Business Wire)
Kayne Anderson Midstream/Energy Fund, Inc. (the “Fund”) (NYSE:KMF) today
provided a summary unaudited statement of assets and liabilities and
announced its net asset value and asset coverage ratios under the
Investment Company Act of 1940 (the “1940 Act”) as of September 30, 2014.
As of September 30, 2014, the Fund’s net assets were $966 million and
its net asset value per share was $44.70. As of September 30, 2014, the
Fund’s asset coverage ratio under the 1940 Act with respect to senior
securities representing indebtedness was 449% and the Fund’s asset
coverage ratio under the 1940 Act with respect to total leverage (debt
and preferred stock) was 335%.

Long-term investments were comprised of Midstream Company (40%), MLP and
MLP Affiliate (41%), Other Energy (10%), Other (1%) and Debt (8%).

* On August 10, 2014, Kinder Morgan, Inc. (“KMI”) announced that
it will acquire all of the outstanding equity securities of Kinder
Morgan Management, LLC (“KMR”), Kinder Morgan Energy Partners,
L.P. (“KMP”) and El Paso Pipeline Partners, L.P. (“EPB”). In
addition to the KMR and KMI shares owned by the Fund, it owns 40
common units of EPB ($1.6 million). At September 30, 2014 the Fund
did not hold KMP.

The Fund is a non-diversified, closed-end management investment

provide a high level of total return with an emphasis on making
quarterly cash distributions to its stockholders by investing at least
80% of its total assets in securities of companies in the

Partnerships (“MLPs”), (b) Midstream Companies, (c) Other MLPs and (d)
