Pixelworks, Inc. (NASDAQ:PXLW), an innovative provider of powerful video and pixel processing technology, today announced that board member James R. Fiebiger, Ph.D. passed away on Saturday in Los Angeles. He had been a member of Pixelworks’ board since 2006 and served as chairman of the governance and nominating committee as well as a member of the audit committee.

A veteran of the semiconductor industry, Dr. Fiebiger served on the boards of such companies as Actel Corporation, Mentor Graphics, Power Integrations and QLogic Corporation. Dr. Fiebiger was also the founder of Lovoltech, Inc., a privately held power-semiconductor company, where he previously served as chairman and CEO. He had also held numerous executive positions at companies including GateField Corporation, Motorola, United Technologies, Texas Instruments, Thunderbird Technologies and VLSI Technology.
