LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- (Business Wire)
During this National Nurses’ week, May 6-12, the Arkansas State Board of
Nursing (ASBN) reminds nurses in Arkansas that they can renew their
nursing license online at ar.gov/nurse_renew.
This convenient online license renewal system allows nurses to complete
their renewal and submit payment electronically, with just a few clicks.
“We are happy to offer a streamlined service for our hard-working nurses
in Arkansas,” said Arkansas State Board of Nursing Executive Director
Sue A. Tedford. “Nurses perform invaluable work in our communities and
it is our duty to do what we can to make their job easier, especially
during a week dedicated to them. They can complete their license renewal
online from anywhere and save time and effort.”
In order for a nurse to remain in active status, the ASBN requires a
license to be renewed within the 60-day period preceding the expiration
date. It is no longer necessary to wait to receive a renewal notice in
order to renew. Nurses can renew online at ar.gov/nurse_renew
up to 60 days prior to the license expiration date, which should
coincide with the last day of the licensee’s birth month.
