Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ: RJET), today reported preliminary passenger traffic results for March 2012. The Company generated 1.8 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs), which was in line with the same month last year, on a decrease in capacity of 2% at 2.2 billion available seat miles (ASMs). Block hours were 79,910 in March 2012, a decrease of 5% from March 2011. Consolidated load factor was 80% in March of 2012 versus 78% in the same month last year. Republic Airways carried 2.6 million passengers during the month, which was 2% lower than the prior year.
