CHARLESTON, W. Va. -- (Business Wire)
The West Virginia Oil and Gas Conservation Commission recently launched
a new website
creating the first ever online presence for the agency.
The new, easy-to-navigate website enables visitors to search the docket
database, search the final orders database, and view important meeting
dates. Additionally, the new website was built utilizing responsive
design techniques so the site automatically adjusts to any device
whether the user is accessing the site from a smartphone, tablet,
laptop, or desktop computer.
“Working with WV.gov to design and create our new website was
effortless,” said Barry Lay, Chairman and Commissioner. “We are
extremely pleased with the new site and finally having an online
presence for our agency with the ability to make our information
electronically available to our constituents.”
The West Virginia Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (OGCC) regulates
the drilling of deep wells in the state. The OGCC reviews deep well
applications and grants deep well approval when requirements are met;
the OGCC conducts hearings on matters relating to the exploration for or
production of oil and gas from deep wells. Hearings are held to
determine the spacing of wells and to pool the interests of royalty
owners and operators of a drilling unit. Visit http://ogcc.wv.gov
for more information.
The new website was developed at no additional cost by the West Virginia
Oil and Gas Conservation Commission in partnership with WV.gov.
