LINCOLN, Neb. -- (Business Wire)
The Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announces the newly
launched clean, efficient, visually stunning and mobile-responsive DMV
website. Easy to navigate, with highly scrutinized content
organization, the DMV website is easier than ever for businesses and
citizens to interact with the state agency and reach the services they
need.
“Collaborating with Nebraska Interactive was a crucial part of the
success to redesign the website focusing specifically on the information
architecture. The goal was to produce a streamlined user experience
where citizens and businesses alike can easily locate services, data,
forms, administration information, branch locations, and more. This was
months of teamwork, iterations, and commitment. We couldn’t have done it
without them. In the end, it’s all about rolling out the new website to
better serve our customers,” says Rhonda Lahm, Director of the
Department of Motor Vehicles.
The homepage features two primary areas designated by the user’s
objective. Individuals will find driver’s license and vehicle
information, license plate, suspensions and title registration, and more
without searching further than one link away. By choosing the Business
area, driver and vehicle records, driver safety and training, motor
carrier and county treasurers information can be found instantly.
Need to pay a traffic ticket? Choose the link. Order a driving record?
Choose the link. Want reminders for vehicle and renewals? Choose the
link. Not sure what to choose? The new Help section has launched with
approximately 30 commonly asked questions and a search box allows input
for all users’ needs.
“This was a year long effort with a state-sized load of content to
organize, rethink and redesign. Commitment, more than anything, was the
factor that could not be compromised. Hard work by our team and the DMV
was unwavering. We are ecstatic with the outcome and very proud to be
part of the effort,” said Brent Hoffman, GM of Nebraska Interactive.
