LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- (Business Wire)
The official website for Governor Asa Hutchinson was named Outstanding
Website in the Web Marketing Association’s 2016 WebAward Competition.
Developed in partnership with the Information Network of Arkansas, www.governor.arkansas.gov
was selected as a winner in the government category for its innovation
in creating an accessible and fun way for Arkansans to interact with the
governor online.
“We are proud to be honored once again for this website and our digital
communications work,” communications director J.R. Davis said. “With
Governor Hutchinson’s focus on coding education and technology, it is
even more meaningful for his office to be formally recognized as having
one of the most progressive government websites in the country.”
A panel of industry professionals judged governor.arkansas.gov
on design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting
and ease of use, and gave the website a high overall score above the
industry average for government websites and the average for all
WebAward entries.
Judges shared several positive comments including, “I loved this site.
The design is very professional and the content is practical and
engaging. Good job!”
The 2016 WebAwards recognize outstanding work of creative professionals
involved in the concept, writing and design of websites. In its 20th
year, the program is the longest running annual website award
competition dedicated to naming the best websites in 96 industries while
setting the standard of excellence for all website development.
This marks the second digital communications award for
governor.arkansas.gov following a Hermes Creative Gold Award won earlier
this year.
