SARPY COUNTY, Neb. -- (Business Wire)
Sarpy County has launched a new mobile-responsive website with brilliant
navigation showcasing an improved user experience and content mapping,
converting over 700 pages of information for the citizens and residents.
Teaming up with Nebraska
Interactive, the enthusiasts for efficiency, the newly redesigned Sarpy
County website focuses on the information architecture and the
citizen user. As a county website, aggregating content is challenge one.
On the homepage, easy access to county-wide services, mapping, forms,
employment information and more are within one selection away. Hundreds
of pages of information to communicate is a mammoth task when
considering how to make it effortless for users.
“County government has a large amount of data that is very important to
the public. We monitored usage and strove to provide a greater ease of
access to this information. Navigation tools were developed with the end
user in mind,” said Mark Walters, Director of Sarpy County Information
Systems.
The site was designed using clean subpages with minimal icons for the
most-requested services to aide users in identifying and navigating the
diverse and abundant data on the site. The navigation features Justice
and Public Safety, Boards and Commissions, Offices, Transparency, and an
About page providing further content linking to other county pages.
Important information from Sarpy County is featured on the homepage for
impromptu, time sensitive matters.
“When Nebraskans in Sarpy County need content, we want to assure it’s
organized in a comprehensible and responsible manner. The collaboration
with the whole team was rewarding, and we are happy with the outcome,”
said Brent Hoffman, GM of Nebraska Interactive.
