The Criminal History Record Request - Name Check 212, which is the
online service developed for the New Jersey State Police, was named

background checks for noncriminial justice licensing or employment. The

The service provides employers, licensing authorities, volunteer
organizations, and private detectives the ability to securely submit
background check requests and pay online. If approval of the background
check is required by the subject, the system will automatically send
notification to that person via email, who can either approve or deny
the request electronically. After successful payment and necessary
approvals, if required, the information is available to the state police
for review and processing. Additionally, the requester will receive
email notifications as the status changes.
The online SBI 212B Form is mobile-friendly and can be completed on any
device, at any time.
