SAN JOSE, Calif. -- (Business Wire)

Integrated Device Technology, Inc. (IDT®) (NASDAQ:IDTI) today announced that Ken Kannappan, president, CEO and board member at Plantronics, has been appointed to the company's Board of Directors, effective Jan. 27, 2015. Additionally, Kannappan has been named to the Compensation Committee and will serve as chairman of the Nominating and Governance Committee.

"Ken joins the IDT board with a strong track record of successful leadership, both at Plantronics and in the financial sector," said IDT Board Chairman John Schofield. "As the CEO in the fast-moving consumer space, Ken brings a fresh and welcomed perspective to IDT’s semiconductor business. His proven business acumen and his board experience, including prior experience at IDT, make him a valuable addition to the board."

"I’m thrilled to re-join IDT’s Board and look forward to serving with the other board members to support IDT’s executive team," Kannappan said. "IDT has a robust product line matched by strong financial results, as well as a solid strategy for strengthening each even further, so this is an exciting time to join the team."

Kannappan joined Plantronics in February 1995 as vice president of sales, responsible for OEM sales and the Asia Pacific/Latin America markets.
