State installers can now purchase manufactured housing and building decals online

The Alabama Manufactured Housing Commission (AMHC) is proud to announce their very first online application. Manufactured and modular installers can now purchase their required decals easily online, at https://www.alabamainteractive.org/amhc_decal/welcome.action.

Elwyn Thomas, the administrator of the Manufactured Housing Commission, noted how this new application will prove to be extremely beneficial. “This application has been in the works for some time now, and the commission is happy to provide this new service to its state installers. This new process will assist in streamlining and modernizing the purchasing process, as well as saving time and money for both the state and citizens,” said Thomas.

Certified installers will simply log in with their certification and driver’s license numbers, select how many decals they need to purchase at that time and make a payment. Once the transaction is complete, the AMHC will mail out the purchased decals to the installer. Certified installers must purchase these installation decals from the commission and place the decal on each home or building immediately upon site location, and prior to installation. The decals include the date of installation and the name and certification number of the installer. Installation decals cannot be transferred. They must be used by the certified installer who purchased them.
