The U.S. business group of Sun Life Financial Inc. (NYSE: SLF, TSX: SLF) today announced the appointment of Alex Dumont as Assistant Vice President, Product Development. Dumont will oversee the management and enhancements for Sun Life’s Group Life and Disability product suite, which includes both employer-paid and employee-paid (voluntary) offerings.

Dumont previously served as Assistant Vice President, Product Marketing at Standard Insurance Company in Portland, Oregon, responsible for the Insurance Services Group product suite, including traditional and voluntary disability, life, AD&D, dental and vision. Prior to that role, Dumont held various product management leadership roles during her previous six-year tenure with Sun Life, including Assistant Vice President, Product Management for Individual Solutions, Voluntary & Employee Benefits. She also has experience in underwriting and distribution from prior roles at Unum, CNA Financial, and The Hartford.
