HARTLEY, Iowa -- (Business Wire)
Residents of Hartley,
Iowa, have a new
payment processing service, PayPort, to
accept payments online and over-the-counter for the city. Through the
system, credit cards, debit cards, or eChecks can be used to pay for
ambulance bills, camping fees, consumer deposits, mowing and snow
removal charges, building permits, tickets, and utility payments.
PayPort
provides an online channel for city government to process secure,
real-time payments from citizens. The custom-tailored system gives each
municipality the ability to control service items including costs. The
hierarchy-based administrative module streamlines user roles and grants
access to reporting features, processing transactions, and setting up
additional administrative accounts.
“We want to continue to accommodate our citizens and visitors with a
quick and easy online payment system,” said Patty Anderson, Hartley City
Clerk, Administrator. The best part of the system is that we don’t have
to worry about tracking anyone down for insufficient funds—the system
takes care of that by verifying accounts and funds before completing the
transaction.”
The city of Hartley partnered with Iowa
Interactive, LLC of Des Moines, to provide payment processing
solutions using PayPort.
The new system replaces an existing system that terminates support and
services May 26.
