DES MOINES, Iowa -- (Business Wire)
The Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner recently launched a newly
redesigned website which will serve as a central hub for forensic
pathologists and county medical examiners and their investigators in the
state of Iowa. The website, which can be found at www.iosme.iowa.gov/,
was designed with mobile devices in mind, meaning visitors using their
smartphone or tablet to view the website will enjoy the same
functionality as visitors using their home or office computer.
The website
provides visitors with access to current Iowa laws and policies.
Visitors can also easily find frequently asked questions or simply find
the Agency’s contact information.
“The redesign stemmed from a desire to open a new dialogue with site
visitors and provide content in a mobile friendly design format,” said
Dennis Klein, deputy state medical examiner.
The website was redesigned in partnership with Iowa Interactive, LLC of
Des Moines. The partnership between Iowa Office of the State Medical
Examiner and Iowa Interactive operates under a self-funded model in
which no additional tax dollars or county funds were used to develop or
maintain the website.
Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner is the seventh state agency to
implement Iowa Interactive’s content
management system (CMS). In addition to the CMS product, Iowa
Interactive manages the state’s official Web portal, Iowa.gov,
and specializes in online government applications.
“Iowa Interactive was the best resource for our Web development and
application needs,” Kelin said. “We consider Iowa Interactive a true
partner.”
