The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Thursday was an positive 99-83-128 as the TSX Venture Exchange rose nine points to 953. Ana Cabral's Sigma Lithium Corp. (SGML) was one of the strong silent types on the TSX-V today, as it added 74 cents to $8.76 on 381,000 shares without news. The company has not said much this year, which is perhaps just as well since its lithium production facility in Brazil is running in the red, and its stock is well off its mid-2023 high of $57.57. This summer and fall have been better, as Sigma has lifted itself from a June low of $5.85.
Hanre Rossouw's NextSource Materials Inc. (NEXT) rose one cent to 44 cents on 463,000 shares. The company has agreed to an extension of its drawdown credit facility with Vision Blue Resources Ltd., a major shareholder, for up to $10-million (U.S.) more. The facility, arranged early this year, was for $20-million (U.S.) to be drawn in tranches, with the possibility of a further $10-million (U.S.).
