Mr. Aaron Sobeski reports
BMO ANNOUNCES PROPOSED TERMINATION OF CERTAIN BMO ETFS AND BMO MUTUAL FUND
BMO Asset Management Inc. (BMOAM), as the manager of the BMO ETFs (exchange-traded funds) set out in the attached table, and BMO Investments Inc. (BMOII), as the manager of the BMO mutual fund set out in the attached table, will terminate the funds effective at the close of business on or about June 19, 2026, as detailed in the attached table.
Effective today, no further direct subscriptions for units of the terminating ETFs or the terminating fund will be accepted by BMOAM and BMOII, respectively. The rights of unitholders of the terminating ETFs and the terminating fund to exchange or redeem units of the terminating ETFs or the terminating fund will cease as of the termination date. All units of the terminating ETFs and the terminating fund held by investors after such date will be subject to a mandatory redemption as of the termination date.
On or about the termination date, each of BMOAM and BMOII will convert each terminating ETF's and the terminating fund's portfolio to cash, to the extent practicable. Upon the termination date, each of the terminating ETF's and the terminating fund's property remaining after paying or providing for the relevant fund's liabilities and obligations will be distributed pro rata among the applicable terminating ETF's and the terminating fund's respective unitholders based on the net asset value per unit of the applicable terminating ETF or the terminating fund.
BMOAM will request to voluntarily delist units of each of the terminating ETFs (ZBBB, ZEAT and ZGRN) from the Toronto Stock Exchange, effective at the market close on or about June 15, 2026. Until such date and time, units of the terminating ETFs will continue to be listed and traded on the TSX.
BMOII will request to voluntarily delist the ETF series units of BMO Brookfield Global Real Estate Tech Fund (Cboe Canada: TOWR) effective at the market close on or about June 15, 2026. Until such date and time, units of TOWR will continue to be listed and traded on the Cboe Canada.
BMOAM and BMOII will each issue an additional news release on or about the termination date confirming the final details of each terminating ETF and the terminating fund, respectively. Further details of the terminations will be mailed to unitholders of record of the terminating ETFs and the terminating fund at least 60 days prior to the termination date.
