Manulife Financial Corp. has priced a public offering in the United States of $500-million (U.S.) aggregate principal amount of 2.484 per cent senior notes due 2027 at a public offering price of 100 per cent. The offering was made pursuant to a preliminary prospectus supplement, dated May 14, 2020, to the company's registration statement, declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission on Dec. 10, 2019.

The company intends to use the net proceeds from the sale of the notes for general corporate purposes, including future refinancing requirements.

BofA Securities Inc., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering.
