Falcon Gold Corp. has filed a lawsuit in the Supreme Court of British Columbia against Ontario geologist Alex Pleson, claiming that he failed or neglected to hand over claims that he was supposed to have staked on the company's behalf. Falcon says that it paid Mr. Pleson to do the staking and other work, but he did not complete his tasks. The company further says that it had to redo work that he did not finish, incurring losses on top of the money that it paid him.

The allegations are contained in a notice of claim that Falcon filed at the Vancouver courthouse on Nov. 12, 2021. The suit identifies Mr. Pleson as an Ontario geologist who the company hired to stake a series of claims (identified in the lawsuit as including the Pleson Springpole claims, Finlayson Lake claims and the Camping Lake claims). Among other things, he was to transfer the claims to entities designated by Falcon and provide GPS co-ordinates to the company, the suit states.

The problem, as set out by Falcon, is that Mr. Pleson did not finish the job. According to the suit, he refused or neglected to transfer the claims, failed to provide co-ordinates and failed to provide work reports. As the company sees things, he did not act in a honest, candid, forthright or reasonable manner.
