The TSX Venture Exchange lost 9.17 points to close at 730.31 Friday, ending the week down 7.34 points. John MacPhail has listed his second capital pool shell, Valencia Capital Inc. (VAL), with an $883,390 initial public offering at 10 cents. Its IPO agent was PI Financial Corp. Valencia's stock has yet to trade.

Mr. MacPhail, 58, lives in North Vancouver and was the chief executive officer of Union Securities Ltd. from 2009 to 2012. Then from 2012 to 2016, he was the president of Global Securities Corp. These days, he is the CEO of an NEX shell, Pacific Arc Resources Ltd. (PAV), which is halted pending a Brazilian gold deal. He listed his first capital pool shell, Woodbridge Ventures Inc. (WOOD: halted), in May, 2019, with a $487,600 IPO at 10 cents.
