The TSX Venture Exchange
lost 1.54 points to close at 391.12 Friday, ending the week down 115.42 points. Stephen Davis has filed a preliminary prospectus to list his first capital pool shell,
Israel Capital Canada Corp. It plans to sell a
$200,000 initial public offering at 10 cents through Canaccord Genuity Corp.
Mr. Davis, 62, lives near Victoria, B.C. He is the chairman and a co-inventor at Wave
Force Electronics Inc., the maker of a device called Wave 1. This device is like a watch; you wear it on your wrist, and it emits light and vibrations at specifically programmed frequencies, supposedly targeting the cells in your body so that you can "fight" or "manage" Lyme disease. This is an infectious disease that may result in rashes, joint pain, limb and muscle weakness, brain inflammation, and temporary paralysis of one side of the face. Wave Force Electronics claims that Wave 1 also helps improve sleep, reduce mood swings, improve mental acuity and cognitive function, and boost energy. This supposed marvel of a device costs $2,500.
