The TSX Venture Exchange
slipped a fraction to 570.49 Friday, ending the week down 3.67 points.
There are 193 capital pool shells listed on the TSX-V. The latest addition was James Cassina's second capital pool shell, Good2go2 Corp. (GOAL: $0.23), which began trading yesterday following a $225,000 initial public offering at 10 cents. Its IPO agent was Haywood Securities Inc. We discussed Mr. Cassina and his shell two days ago.
In the last 90 days, 12 shells have filed the final prospectuses for their respective IPOs. Each shell, once it has filed its final prospectus, has 90 days to close its IPO, failing which it must file a new prospectus if it still wants to list. Of the 12 IPOs in progress, Haywood is the agent for three. It is raising a combined $1-million in the three IPOs. Canaccord Genuity Corp. is selling six shell IPOs, totalling $1.86-million. Leede Jones Gable Inc. is raising a combined $800,000 for two shells, and Industrial Alliance Securities Inc. is raising $500,000 for one shell. All 12 shells are selling their IPO shares at 10 cents.
