It just keeps running! New York spot gold leapt $109.80 to $3,338.30 on Wednesday. While global stock markets were mixed today, uncertainties surrounding the tariff war continue to drive bullion higher. The TSX Venture Exchange added 8.83 points to 638.87 while the TSX gold index rose 9.62 points to 500.09. Torex Gold Resources Inc. (TXG) was strong, as it added $4.33 to $48.24 on 1.06 million shares. So were Orezone Gold Corp. (ORE), which added 10 cents to $1.26 on 9.31 million shares, and Iamgold Corp. (IMG), which added 84 cents to $11.23 on 9.64 million shares.

Randy Turner's Independence Gold Corp. (IGO) was back in the news with new assays from its 3Ts project, 185 kilometres southwest of Prince George in central British Columbia. The headline hit returned 5.95 grams of gold and 23.09 grams of silver per tonne across 7.45 near-surface metres in the Larry zone, a hit aided by a 1.86-metre stretch that held 20.48 grams of gold and 80.11 grams of silver per tonne. (The other 5.59 metres graded 1.12 grams of gold and 4.12 grams of silver per tonne.)
