New York spot gold rose $7.60 Tuesday, closing at $2,743.80. The TSX Venture Exchange added 0.45 point to 603.72 while the TSX gold index rose 0.53 point to 376.17. Canadian listed gold miners were a mixed bag today. Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. (IVN) added 96 cents to $19.58 on 3.55 million shares, powered mainly by its copper production at Kamoa-Kakula, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. K92 Mining Inc. (KNT) was southbound, dropping 28 cents to $9.22 on 1.23 million shares.
Keyvan Salehi's STLLR Gold Inc. (STLR) fell 10 cents to $1.08 on 1.32 million shares following a halt called yesterday so the company could reveal it has arranged a $25-million placement. The company is offering 4.79 million charitable flow-through shares at $1.565 apiece, 3.79 million regular flow-through shares at $1.32 each and 11.36 million hard-dollar shares at $1.10 per share. All three categories of shares will come with one-half of a warrant, exercisable at $1.54 per share over a two-year period.
