New York spot gold rebounded $18.70 to $1,976.10 on Friday. The TSX Venture Exchange rose 3.76 points to 612.79 while the TSX gold index added 2.26 points to close at 305.77. Most Canadian gold miners tracked northward with bullion today, and a few did so with enthusiasm. Karora Resources Inc. (KRR) added 23 cents to $5.21 on 1.57 million shares although it had nothing new to say today. New Found Gold Corp. (NFG) also fared well on silence, adding 20 cents to $5.90 on 136,000 shares. Southbound today was Eldorado Gold Corp. (ELD), which fell seven cents to $14.09 on one million shares.
Roger Rosmus's Goliath Resources Ltd. (GOT) rose two cents to 59 cents on 251,000 shares on word that it is getting set for a busy 2023 program at its Golddigger project in the Golden Triangle area of northwestern British Columbia. The highlight of the work -- at least one hopes it will prove to be so -- is a planned 18,000 metres of drilling, work that includes a maiden drill program slated for the new Goldswarm zone, about four kilometres north and along strike from the Surebet zone.
