New York spot gold lost $5.20 to $1,469.40 on Thursday. The TSX Venture Exchange rose 0.20 point to 536.52 while the TSX Gold Index dipped 1.45 points to 249.43. Centerra, a $13 stock in late October, stumbled late that month on word of troubles at its Mount Milligan mine.
