The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Wednesday was a ho-hum 61-73-176 as the TSX Venture Exchange rose one point to 667. Dr. Luisa Moreno's Graphano Energy Ltd. (GEL) closed unchanged at 9.5 cents on 5,000 shares. The company has hired consultants to prepare a maiden resource estimate for its Lac Aux Bouleaux graphite deposit in southwestern Quebec. It is also pressing ahead with an exploration program covering the Black Pearl graphite project, a part of the company's Standard property, where it made a graphite discovery last summer.
At Lac Aux Bouleaux, the consultants, Mercator Geological Services, will base their calculation on all the available data, including drilling completed by Graphano between 2021 and last year. The estimate will span three of eight mineralized zones noted on the property, the No. 1 and No. 3 zones and a historical pit. As well, the estimate is expected to include the Standard project. The coming calculation, enthuse Dr. Moreno and her crew, "will serve as the foundation for coming technical and economic studies, and planning for a producing future."
