The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Monday was a mediocre 91-98-121 as the TSX Venture Exchange rose fractionally to 591. Grid Battery Metals Inc. (CELL) was a busy trader, adding two cents to 21.5 cents on 1.44 million shares. Grid has agreed to pay Texas-based Life Water Media $300,000 (U.S.) for a two-month on-line marketing awareness and digital media marketing campaign.

Laura Lee Duffett's -- and more than a little bit Ken Johnson's Tres-Or Resources Ltd. (TRS) was unchanged at 11 cents on 1,000 shares. The company is expanding its Brazilian focus -- if the blurry deal in spring to acquire some of Mr. Johnson's unnamed Brazilian assets could be deemed a focus -- with word that it has picked up the right to develop over two dozen kimberlite occurrences in the Coromandel district of Minas Gerais.

Ms. Duffett has yet to say a peep about what properties Tres-Or acquired when it bought Mr. Johnson's Vaaldiam do Brasil Mineracao Ltda. in April, a 2.27-million-share purchase transaction that values the unnamed assets at about $200,000. So far, Vaaldiam's only function so far appears to be serving as the Brazil-based corporate entity used to acquire five distinct properties hosting kimberlites from -- pause for a deep breath here -- Antonio Ione Teixeira De Jesus's Vendome Mine Mineracao Importacao Exportacao E Pesquisa Ltda. (Henceforth mercifully referred to as Vendome.)
