The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score on Wednesday was a buoyant 119-59-122 as the TSX Venture Exchange rose 18 points to 908. Ken MacNeill's Star Diamond Corp. (DIAM) closed unchanged at 19.5 cents on 214,000 shares. There is no word if the company attended the joint venture management committee meeting today, called a month ago by Rio Tinto. Star insists there is no valid joint venture; the matter may not be settled until next year in court.
Nick Zeng and Demin Huang's Golden Share Resources Corp. (GSH) continues to pay lip service -- about all it can afford these days -- to its Ogoki diamond project in Northern Ontario. Golden Share's stock is anything but golden despite its one-cent gain to 12 cents on 16,000 shares today; and the company's treasury is barren, unless one counts the four million not-yet-received shares of Midex Resources Ltd. that have been valued at $400,000. Nevertheless, the company is still cheering drill plans at Ogoki as "a priority task."
